Taos is a favorite area of mine, and I have visited there several times now, most recently with my teenage children on a road trip to New Mexico. I love the sagebrush that grows everywhere, especially its green-gray color. I made my own substrate for this painting, using a heavy grit, and was happy with the texture it gave the sagebrush. This painting also shows the magnificent mountains around Taos, and this view was taken from the road, on our approach.
